How can I obtain a residential smoke and carbon monoxide detector inspection?

A - Departments: Fire Inspections
Inspections are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8AM to 12PM. Only a limited amount of inspections can be done on any given day so we strongly suggest you schedule your inspection well in advance of your closing date. The inspection certificate is valid for 60 days.
Appointments and payment must be done in person at the Fire Prevention Office, located at City Hall Rm. 113, during normal business hours (8AM -4PM; Monday-Friday; Closed on holidays).
The smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide inspection certificate fee is:
• 1 & 2 Units $50 Per Unit
• 3 – 6 Units $150
• 7 and above $500
